I was just wondering how people are using their wands, and how many more functions people want. I'm using it for my TV/DVR (ReplayTV) setup as follows: • Big Swish (9) – (TV) On/Off • rotate clockwise (1) – (TV) Volume Up • rotate counterclockwise (2) – (TV) Volume Down • Flick Upwards (3) – (DVR) Up • Flick Downwards (4) – (DVR) Down • Flick Left (5) – (DVR) Left • Flick Right (6) – (DVR) Right • Tap On Top (7) – (DVR) Channel Guide • Tap On Side (8) – (DVR) Replay Guide • Double Tap On Top (11) – (DVR) Pause • Double Tap On Side (12) – (DVR) Quick Step • Push Forward (10) – (DVR) Select Button • Pull Back (13) – (DVR) Exit Button I would have liked to have been able to add two more functions, Rewind and Fast Forward. |

11 of my 13 gestures are used up by the Cable box and TV:
Down - Info on channel Rotate CW - Vol up Anti CW - Vol down Big Swish - Main TV power (Trying to get the cable box in this gesture too)(Also works the TV in the bedroom, an unexpected but pleasant bonus) Single tap - Down Single side tap - Up Double tap - Page Down (channels) Double side tap - Page Up (channels) Forward stab - OK (select) Back stab - Exit These two are set to my trio of remote control LED flicker candles:
Right - Turns them off. From a slight distance, this really looks like magic. Since I dabble in amateur magic, I'm dying to incorporate these into a wizard's show, and anything else I can get that's IR RC'd. |

Happy New Years all! Had some free time, so decided I would try and figure out what functions I really needed to program into the wand and which I could leave out. It took a lot of tries to figure what wand gesture I should pair with what function so I made a little Jpg that lists all the gestures so I could print it out and keep the pairings straight. Thought it might be useful to others too so I decided to post it. Listed are the wand gestures, and next to it in parentheses is the number of pulses that correlates to the gesture, and space to write down what you've programmed. ![]() http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n31/omarahum/KymeraWandControlScroll2.jpg Happy Casting!
